The [[DiscoveryNow library|home]] was created using FeatherWiki, an open source application which can be hosted hosted without charge on TiddlyHost. Alternatively, sites created in FeatherWiki can also be saved locally, and uploaded to your own hosting account.
This page is a simple demo of FeatherWiki's basic features for those individuals who are interested in learning more about FeatherWiki.
Please Note: This demo may eventually be removed from DiscoveryNow ~ so, if you would like to save a copy of this demo to help with setting up your own wiki, I recommend downloading this entire demo page using a browser plugin like SingleFile or SavePageWe.

Benefits

FeatherWiki runs in your browser, and serves as the staging area for creating and previewing your site.
Your site can then be saved locally, as a single file (!) for backup purposes or for uploading to your own hosting account ~ or your wiki can be easily synced with your preferred hosting server.
As long as your wiki does not contain a huge number of uploaded images, there are no size constraints (in terms of file size or number of pages) that would inhibit FeatherWiki's performance < Confirmed with FeatherWiki host, Simon Baird of TiddlyHost.
Simple, clean layout
SEO & analytics tracking can be added into the Header under "Settings"
Default "Home" page can be set under "Settings"
Page order can be set manually under "Settings"
"Hidden" pages are removed from the navigation menu only. This means hidden pages are still published and still accessible using any of the following wiki features:

How can I specify my own preferred "Home" page? < Designate under "Settings"
How can I protect my site from being edited by others? < Any pages a visitor creates cannot be uploaded. (Login is required)
How can I prevent my site from being downloaded by others? < Turn on Publish under "Settings" to disable all page creation, editing and downloading options from the published wiki

Limitations

FeatherWiki and TiddlyHosting both appear to be small, 1-person operations
Limited theme options for those who have little-to-no experience editing CSS
Because the wiki is saved as a single file, it is best to use links to images hosted elsewhere, rather than uploading images into the wiki file.
Custom domains cannot be used unless you export and upload your wiki to your own hosting account
"Recent" Tab = Recently visited pages ~ NOT recently edited pages. > See [[Recent Changes|recent_changes]]
Search terms are highlighted in the search results, but not on the page itself.
Editor Limitations
-- No smart links for internal page linking
-- No font styling or resizing options
-- No font colors
-- No font highlights

-- Editing window is relatively small > Scrolling is required on all but the shortest pages
-- "Show HTML" displays without ANY line spaces, so it is a bit more challenging to edit
